The RFL Volunteer Charter

Volunteers are a vital component of the RFL and its members. We hope that people enjoy volunteering with us and feel a full part of our team. This charter sets out what volunteers can expect from us and outlines our expectations of our volunteers. In adopting this charter the RFL purpose is to encourage best practice in volunteer management, seeking always to develop the quality of volunteering opportunities.

This charter seeks to provide overall guidance and direction to its employees and volunteers and to demonstrate that the RFL recognises its obligations to its volunteers. It does not seek to establish any form of contract, as volunteering is binding in honour only, and it is not intended to be legally binding.

Players Required to play South Africa

Yorkshire to play South Africa

The South Africans will be coming to England this October to play BARLA in a International.

The South Africans will also be playing against the three county sides, Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire.

Yorkshire Chairman Spen Allison has asked all clubs in Yorkshire to put forward the names of any player who they consider are up to the task of the high standard required to compete with the South Africans at International level.

Lets have you all back training lads ! take time to drag a mate along with you and give Howard and Bri a good squad to work with. Back to top

Masters Rugby League

Rugby League has always been deemed “a young persons sport.” That is until now!

Following a highly successful beginning in New Zealand way back in 1992, word quickly spread of the new format of the game and this soon found its way across the Tasman sea to Australia, where it’s now played by thousands.

Played by people who are aged over 35, the game is strictly a social version of Rugby League and has modified rules. There are no winners and losers with the most important rule “Everyone has to buy a drink for their opposite number”.

The RFL are keen to launch this great initiative in the UK. For more information on Masters Rugby League or to register your interest Click Here.
